Triple H says Matt Riddle seems ready for NXT.
A lot of rumors and reports were put to rest at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 4 when Matt Riddle was shown in the crowd and announced as the newest member of the NXT roster. After the event, Triple H held a conference call with media outlets about the event and he was asked about the signing of Riddle.
"Matt brings a lot to the table. He's an amazing athlete, smart in the way he's adapted, and what he did in his MMA career...He's learned a lot on his own in a very brief period of time to get where he is. I watched him for a while; watched his ups and downs. There comes a time when somebody gets good enough," said Triple H.
Sometimes WWE likes a wrestler but chooses to let them develop in other organizations before signing them according to Triple H. He said that there's still talent out in the world that WWE has spoken to and told them they were interested but have not signed yet.
Later in the call, Triple H was asked about Riddle again and he took the time to access Riddle's growth in the past years.
"I think he's ready to come in and get brought the rest of the way...I think he's matured as a person. He's realized where he wants to get to in the business as opposed to having fun being in the business. There's a difference," said Triple H.
