Triple H On Shawn Michaels Facing Adam Cole: It's Not Happening

Shawn Michaels made a rare television appearance on the March 24 episode of NXT when he introduced a ladder to the NXT Cruiserweight Title bout between Santos Escobar and Jordan Devlin.

On social media, a photo was released of Adam Cole having a confrontation with Michaels in the backstage area.

RJ City: There’s An Old Saying That You F*ck Like You Wrestle, I Think It’s True

The photo led to many speculating that the dream match between Cole and Michaels could happen sooner rather than later.

Appearing on Pardon My Take, Triple H squashed any possibility of Michaels vs. Cole.

"When [Shawn] was leaving, he ran into Adam Cole backstage and they had a moment and Shawn walked off. The internet blew up with people saying, 'Oh my God, what if? What a tease. It's the ultimate match.' What they don't know is three minutes prior to that when Shawn's music hit and he was walking out to the stage, his left knee gave out and he started dancing because he almost fell off the stage. His left knee is so bad that it buckled on him while he was walking down the ramp. That match isn't going to happen," said Triple H.

That settles that.

Michaels' last match came at WWE Crown Jewel 2018 when he teamed with Triple H to take on Kane & The Undertaker in a disastrous match that Michaels said he regretted coming out of retirement for.
