Tyler Bate wanted to pick a fight with Bron Breakker.
Bron Breakker successfully defended the NXT Championship against former NXT UK Superstar JD McDonagh at the end of NXT Heatwave. However, he would then be confronted by the current NXT UK Champion. Despite the spoiler for the outcome the ongoing NXT UK Championship Tournament, Tyler Bate came out with the championship and engaged in a stare-down with Breakker.

Bate did win the tournament that was pre-taped but the tournament is still ongoing on the linear NXT UK program on WWE Network and Peacock.
Tyler Bate’s appearance at Heatwave was first reported by Fightful Select. Heatwave also saw the NXT 2.0 arrivals of Gallus and Blair Davenport. At the end of the night, Vic Joseph suggested that worlds may be colliding.
Worlds Collide was the name of a special that featured NXT vs. NXT UK prior to the start of the global pandemic. That event featured such matches as Imperium vs. The Undisputed ERA.
