The Undertaker Says Original Meeting With Vince McMahon In 1990 Got Canceled Because Vince Didn't Like His Work

The Undertaker discusses his original meeting with WWE getting canceled.

The Undertaker was looking to leave WCW in 1990 as his contract was expiring and they wouldn't give him a raise. Bruce Prichard was a fan of Undertaker's work and looked to set up a meeting between Undertaker and Vince McMahon.

The meeting was set to take place in the first half of 1990 after Undertaker's match at WrestleWar 1990 when he teamed with Mike Enos against The Road Warriors (Hawk and Animal).

"I think there was a meeting scheduled for me and Vince," Undertaker recalled on Six Feet Under. "I just found this out recently, within the last couple of years. The meeting got canceled. Originally, I was told, I think it was Bruce that told me this, the meeting with Vince got canceled because of the parasailing accident that Brutus Beefcake had. He was in Clearwater Beach, someone was parasailing off the beach, and he ended up getting hit in the face by somebody. Crushed his face, he had to have his face rebuilt and all this. That is the reason my meeting got canceled, Vince had to go. All these years, I always thought that meeting got canceled because of Beefcake's accident. What it truly was is Vince watched the pay-per-view and wasn't impressed at all. 'He's just a big red-headed kid. I got a million of those.' Had no interest whatsoever."

Undertaker eventually got his meeting with Vince later in the year. You can find Taker's comments on that meeting, and how he thought he might be Singing in the Shower Guy, by clicking here.

Undertaker would make his debut at Survivor Series 1990 and become one of the most legendary figures in wrestling history.
