Chris Jericho and Sin Cara just can't seem to stay out of fights backstage.
Fightful has been told by sources within WWE that Sin Cara and Chris Jericho got into a fight while on WWE's European tour. Both men appeared on Friday's live event in London and Sunday's in Leeds. Justin Labar first reported the news of a backstage battle on Twitter.
The two people we spoke to within WWE said that they were shocked that Jericho could act in the manner he did towards Sin Cara without getting hit. Jericho was 'basically asking to get punched,' considering Sin Cara and his reputation. Chris Jericho did indeed get hit, and was dropped, per our sources. Jericho posted an Instagram video below after the incident.
It was also said that Sin Cara had been annoying during the tour, and was the one booted off the bus. Jericho managed to bite him during the fight. MLW Radio said that Jericho was knocked out in the fray, which we've heard wasn't the case. Jericho took to Twitter to answer that rumor.
Sin Cara, formerly Hunico got into an altercation with Simon Gotch backstage in July. Although Cara got the best of the fight, and Gotch was said to have lost favor with the WWE over the matter.
Jericho got physical with former UFC Champion Brock Lesnar after the finish to Lesnar's match with Randy Orton turned heads at Summerslam. Jericho gained a measure of respect from the locker room for standing up during the situation, and there was no heat on him, as it was a situation where the company had 'worked the boys' when they shouldn't have.
