Vickie Guerrero is setting the record straight on her involvement in the 2005 SummerSlam Ladder Match between Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio.
Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio had a rivalry in 2005 that would go on to be one of the last things Eddie Guerrero did in his entire career. The culmination of that rivalry was a Ladder Match at SummerSlam 2005. At this point in time, both Eddie’s and Rey’s families were utilized in the story including the beginning of that Vickie Guerrero’s time as a character on WWE television.
During the SummerSlam Ladder Match, there is a specific point where Eddie comes crashing down off of a ladder and he can be heard asking where Vickie was. Vickie would eventually help Rey Mysterio win the ladder match and is now setting the record straight about why she did not come out to push over the ladder, costing Eddie Guerrero the match, sooner.
On Twitter, Vickie Guerrero told a critic that she did not miss her cue rather she was told not to go out yet because it was not safe for her to push over the ladder because of where Rey Mysterio was at the time.
Hey genius…I didn’t miss my cue….Rey was under the ladder and it was not safe for me to run and push the ladder…I was told to wait until Rey was out of the way. #stayinyourlane https://t.co/USKuELOccW
