Vince McMahon Never Saw Himself Retiring Before He Resigned

In June 2022, Vince McMahon was investigated for sexual misconduct and hush money allegations and retired as WWE CEO. In January 2023, he returned to the board of directors, later made a deal with Endeavor to merge WWE and UFC. In January 2024, he was accused of sexual assault and sex trafficking in a lawsuit by Janel Grant, and resigned as TKO Executive Chairman.

Before the initial allegations came out, Vince never saw himself retiring.

Will Ospreay Thanks Fans, Says He Appreciates Any Feedback, Criticism Or Support

"Do I ever see myself retiring? No, I don't ever see myself ever retiring. I never understood why people stop growing. When you stop growing, you die. Some people are like, 'I want to retire one day.' What are you gonna do when you retire? I have no sympathy for people like that. So...go die," Vince said on "Mr. McMahon."

Vince canceled his final interview with the producers after the allegations came out.

All six episodes of "Mr. McMahon" are now streaming on Netflix.

Janel Grant, a former WWE employee, filed a lawsuit in January against Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis. The lawsuit accuses McMahon of sexual assault and sex trafficking. On May 30, Grant agreed to pause the lawsuit for six months while the federal investigation continued against McMahon, who resigned from TKO/WWE following the lawsuit.
