The NXT UK brand just wrapped up their first-ever TakeOver show. It was stated by NXT UK founder and senior producer Triple H during the post-show interview that the event was trending #1 in the United Kingdom and in the United States. The main event of TakeOver saw Pete Dunne successfully defend his WWE United Kingdom Championship against Joe Coffey and at one point during the match, the crowd inside the Empress Ballroom began chanting in unison, "Are you watching Vince McMahon?"
Apparently, the head honcho of WWE was tuned into TakeOver as he tweeted about the show once it was over and noted, "Yes, I watched #NXTUKTakeOver. Yes, it was awesome."
