CMLL announced that Viva Van, Willow Nightingale, and Lluvia would compete at FantasticaMania to crown a new champion.

Speaking to Pro Wrestling Illustrated, Viva commented on how things went down.

"I'm as surprised as you are. Wrestling is so unpredictable to where one minute you're like, 'I have a weekend off.' The next you're like, 'Hell yeah, I'm there.' I've always been okay with going with the flow. I'm used to it. I'm used to things being on the fly. I've been training for this moment. I thought I would get an opportunity against the New Japan Strong Women's Championship before this. I'm not mad at the CMLL Women's Champion, I'm down with that, too. I've been training at the New Japan Academy two to three times a week. I'm ready. I'm so ready, even though this is a last minute thing. I'm very happy for Stephanie Vaquer. She deserves the world. I'm ready," she said.

On Wednesday evening it was announced that Vaquer had signed with WWE.

Fightful will have results from CMLL FantasticaMania following the conclusion of the event.
