WALTER doesn't sound interested in moving stateside anytime soon.
As one of the biggest names on the international scene, WALTER has garnered plenty of interest in the past. This past March, he was reportedly offered a WWE contract. However, he denied that a contract was ever offered. More recently, there have been reports that WWE was interested in him again and working on a UK deal, similar to the one UK superstars like Tyler Bate are under.
In a new interview with The Mirror, WALTER addressed the rumors that he may soon be WWE bound.
"I don’t know if I mentioned this but being a part of the Raw or SmackDown roster is nothing I am interested in," he said. "I don’t want to live in the US. I really like NXT though, I think it's a great product, filled with the best talent in the world and is focused on competition in the ring, which is something I enjoy. I don’t want to say it will never happen because in wrestling things change so quick."
WALTER is currently preparing to defend his PROGRESS World Title this weekend against the aforementioned Bate. NXT UK superstars not only appear on NXT television, but they continue to work dates for Independent companies like PROGRESS, who have a working relationship with WWE/NXT. WALTER is no stranger to wrestling NXT superstars in other organizations. In June, he challenged Adam Cole for the NXT North American Title at an EVOLVE event.
As for now, WALTER seems content wrestling outside of WWE.
