Round One: The round begins with Rodriguez attacking Almeida with leg kicks, Almeida nails an incoming Rodriguez with a short right. Rodriguez responds by popping Almeida with a left hook, Almeida grabs Rodriguez and he holds him against the cage wall. Rodriguez spins Almeida and he puts him against the cage wall, the fighters exchange knee strikes while in the clinch. The referee separates the fighters for inactivity, the action resumes with Almeida scoring a takedown on Rodriguez and he gets the half guard. Almeida transitions to back control on Rodriguez, Almeida hunts for the rear naked choke as the round ends.

Dawodu drops Siler with a spinning back kick to the midsection, Siler gets up and Dawodu swings away at him. Siler recovers by catching Dawodu with a right hook, Dawodu cracks Siler with a punching combination before they clinch. The fighters separate and Siler scores a takedown on Dawodu, Siler quickly gains back control on Dawodu. Dawodu scrambles at the right time to get top position on Siler, the fighters scramble to their feet and Dawodu nails Siler with another spinning back kick. The fighters rock each other during a wild striking exchange, Siler attacks Dawodu with a flying knee strike. Siler scores a takedown on Dawodu and he gets back control as the round ends.
