WWE 2K Dev Bryan Williams discusses The Island in WWE 2K25.
Amongst the vast amount of changes and additions to the upcoming release of WWE 2K25 includes a current generation exclusive mode known as 'The Island.' The mode, which issimilar to how "The City" works in NBA 2K, will be unique to wrestling games and earlier this month, Paul Heyman unveiled a trailer for the mode at Sony's State Of Play.
In a new interview with JustBryan, WWE 2K dev Bryan Williams spoke about the upcoming debut of 'The Island' in WWE games, noting that it will be a very clean and smooth experience for players.
There's a lot of really cool things that the team has done in The Island that is going to be worth your while to spend time in. I mean, just some of the landmarks, the venues they're i mean, some of them are just honestly, they're breathtaking in particular The Undertaker's kind of gothic church when you fight in that arena. It's just amazing to look at. Rey Mysterio's Aztec themed arena is another one and there's just a really cool overarching story that goes through The Island. Where it ends, I think fans are really going to be excited. So, I would just say, look, give it a chance. It's a fun thing. Like we wouldn't have spent all this time and energy and creativity on something that we internally did not feel strongly about."
Williams later noted that fans can expect a 'very clean and smooth experience' in The Island.
