WWE Parts Ways With Giancarlo Dittamo

WWE has parted ways with Giancarlo Dittamo.

On May 25, WWE made major cuts to various departments, including merging the Advanced Media Group and TV departments. According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, over 60 employees were cut as WWE's leadership felt there were a number of redundant positions across the departments being merged. Deadline also reported WWE Studios also saw heavy cuts in an effort to streamline the division.

Dittamo worked as a feature producer for WWE and directed a number of docu-specials over the last three years, including Liv Forever and the upcoming Superfan: The Story of Vladimir.

He tweeted "onward&upward" just one day after news of the cuts broke.

One of WWE's Social Media Producer's, as well as AEW's Joey Janela shared their support online.

Hired by WWE in November of 2018, Dittamo has worked for several promotions in a production capacity including Championship Wrestling from Hollywood and CZW. Dittamo also played a big role in the marketing and promotion of Joey Janela, collaborating on the viral videos that helped turn The Bad Boy into one of the biggest stars on the Independent scene.
