Xavier Woods Explains Why He Started UpUpDownDown YouTube Channel

Xavier Woods says some WWE wrestlers are just nerds. 

At the EVO 2018 conference, Xavier Woods was in attendance to watch and participant in the fighting video games being played. He was interviewed by ESPN about his experience in the fighting game community and his YouTube channel UpUpDownDown. Woods explained the genesis of the channel.

"I thought people would enjoy it mainly because you get to see a lot of the WWE superstars in a different light. You see us on TV and you know us one way if you watch the show but then you see us hanging out and playing games together and you see us in a completely different way because you see who we actually are. You see we're a bunch of nerds that play video games too," said Woods. "That makes everyone more relatable," he added. 

Woods went on to say his channel gives more exposure to some wrestlers who are not on the cable television shows each week as often as other wrestlers. 

It is also important to Woods that he creates a group of gamers in the WWE locker room and he believes he's grown a decently sized core group of wrestlers who get together for video games.
