Zack Sabre Jr. wins the 2024 G1 Climax tournament.

On August 18th, New Japan Pro Wrestling held the final event of their G1 Climax 34 tournament, with Zack Sabre Jr. and Yota Tsuji facing off in the finals. The match would be a back and forth affair, with both men having their strong and weak points in the bout.

In the closing stretch of the match, Yota would look for a Gene Blaster, but would be countered by the grappler into an intricate submission in the center of the ring, leaving him no opition to submit and hand the tournament crown to Sabre Jr.

With victory in the tournament, Sabre Jr. will challenge for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom at the beginning of 2025.

Zack would capture the top spot of the A Block before making his way through the knockout rounds of the tournament.
