Zayda Steel wants to win the MLW Featherweight Championship.
Steel has cemented herself as a key figure in the MLW women's division as of late, as she's picked up wins over the likes of Gia Scott, Notorious Mimi, Delmi Exo, and Tiara James. The division is currently being dominated against somebody that Steel hasn't faced, the MLW Featherweight Champion, Janai Kai.
While appearing on a recent episode of Astrid Asks, Steel noted that her goal is to win the title from Kai, who is currently ducking her.
“Well, I’ll say right now, my goal is that MLW Featherweight Championship. Those ladies, I’ve worked with all of them, except for Janai [Kai]. She’s ducking me. I don’t know if Selina is letting her duck me. All of those ladies, I will say, as much as we hate each other, they have a special place in my heart. I’ve beaten all the women in MLW. So, Janai is next. I’m still green, I’m still young in my career. I’ll say this right now, I’m using MLW as practice for TV. But I do want that Featherweight Championship.”
