WWE And Election Day: WWE Personalities And How They Fared

Tuesday's election day had major implications on the WWE. A WWE WrestleMania performer is the President-elect.

It's been no secret: The WWE has been in bed with Donald Trump for decades. Trump paid a site fee to host two WrestleMania events in the 80s, and later appeared at WrestleMania 23, helping it to become one of the biggest box office successes in the WWE. Also, the McMahon family has donated millions to Trump's ventures, foundations and campaigns.

Tuesday's results led to our first WWE Hall of Famer to ever become President-elect. Hall of Famer Jesse "The Body" Ventura became Governer of Minnesota years before being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, but Trump reaches the highest point of power of any honored name in WWE's Hall.

Also, WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champion at press time was subject to conflicting reports about whether or not he won a seat in Michigan state legislature. At of time of publishing, Fox Sports says he defeated Abdullah Hammoud, but Fightful has been told by local Michigan outlets that Rhyno substantially lost.
