Due to triple threat rules, AJ Styles didn't have to be pinned to lose his US Title in his match last night vs Tye Dillinger and Baron Corbin. And that's exactly what happened.
Styles connected with a Phenomenal Forearm on Tye, then got roughly deposited to the outside by Corbin, who immediately got the opportunistic pinfall, picking up his first title victory in the process.
But Corbin's first title reign might only last about forty-eight hours, as AJ Styles has invoked his rematch clause for tomorrow night on SmackDown.
AJ Styles originally won the US Title at a Madison Square Garden Live Event on July 7, then lost it back to Kevin Owens at Battleground on July 23, only to win it back two days later in a surprise triple threat also featuring Chris Jericho.
