Asuka Is Threatening Not To Come Back To NXT Until They Find Her "A Worthy Opponent"

Undefeated NXT Women's Champion Asuka outlasted Nikki Cross in a brutal Last Woman Standing match last week on NXT, then flew overseas to take part in the WWE RAW Tour of Japan.

If her Twitter account is to be believed, it appears she has no plans to leave her homeland and return to the states. That is, until she thinks there's actually a reason to.

It looks like this is all part of a storyline, as a follow-up article appeared on WWE.com which showed the Tweet and said this:

"... it appears there may be some time before Asuka is back on WWE Network’s Wednesday night staple. Unless, of course, a “worthy” opponent soon makes herself known.

Who will be the next person to try to dethrone Asuka? And how long will it take to find a challenger that can meet Asuka’s expectations?"

There had been rumblings that Ember Moon would get another shot at the title at NXT Takeover Brooklyn III, after Asuka had to use underhanded means to defeat her at Takeover Orlando, and then injured Moon to keep her out of the title match at Takeover Chicago, but no official #1 Contender has been announced at this time.
