It finally happened -- former NXT Women's Champion Bayley is a WWE Superstar, at least for one night.
For a couple of weeks, WWE and Sasha Banks hyped a mystery partner to take on WWE Women's Champion Charlotte and her protege Dana Brooke. On the Battleground pre-show, Lita, Summer Rae, Nia Jax and others were all rumored to have been the partner.
Bayley debuted to a huge reaction, just days after going undrafted on Tuesday's Smackdown. It's unclear what her immediate future holds, as she is booked for an NXT Takeover: Back to Brooklyn title match with Asuka. No brand was announced for Bayley on the PPV, and it was mentioned that the appearance may be a one-time appearance.
Speculation ran rampant this weekend that Bayley would be the partner, when she didn't appear at an NXT live event Saturday night. Bayley made her debut well over a year after fellow 'Four Horsewomen' Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks and Charlotte, and a few days after her best friend Carmella.
