Austin Aries will be out for the rest of 2016.
Former TNA World Champion Austin Aries won't return to action until 2017 after suffering a broken orbital bone at the hands of Shinsuke Nakamura at a Thursday live event in Fresno. Aries was forced to miss his planned Dusty Rhodes Tag Classic Match with TM61 the next night.
The injury was sustained when Nakamura caught Aries with a vicious kick. The match, which also involved No Way Jose and Samoa Joe, was ended immediately.
Aries is set for surgery in Birmingham, Alabama this week to repair the injury. Aries posted a photo of his eye, which you can check out below.
