Welcome to another edition of
OFF-TRACK with A-TRAIN
where I literally can't even keep up with this company anymore.
in this episode
VINCE McMAHON NAMED HIS NEW PPV
AFTER A 60 YEAR OLD SONG
AND THAT'S SO NUTS
I CAN'T EVEN BE MAD ABOUT IT
So last month, it was reported that the July Raw-exclusive PPV would be in Hartford, Connecticut, and it would be named "Bad Blood", the first time WWE had used that name in 13 years.
It later came out that that wasn't true. It wouldn't be in Hartford, Connecticut. It wouldn't be named "Bad Blood."
And now we know where it will be: Dallas, Texas.
And now we know what it will be called.
I'll let you find out from this video, Tweeted out by the American Airlines Center:
Yep.
Great Balls of Fire.
GREAT.
BALLLLLLLLLLZZZZZZ.
OF.
.
In case you're too young to remember, the name "Great Balls of Fire" comes from a song written and performed by Rock and Roll Hall of Famer (and noted 13-year-old cousin marrier--Look it Up) Jerry Lee Lewis.
The song came out SIXTY YEARS AGO.
You've probably heard it.
Here is the music video.
It is in black and white.
Because that was the only camera technology that was available at the time.
Oh, and also, you might have noticed in the Tweeted preview, that is the first time that Brock Lesnar will be defending the Universal Title that he won back at WrestleMania.
Because the "30 day rule" only applies to certain people.
