A champion versus champion bout will top the bill at KSW 42 as middleweight champion Mamed Khalidov faces light heavyweight champion Tomasz Narkun in a catchweight division affair.
Khalidov (34-4-2) enters the bout on the strength of a fourteen fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in over seven years. Khalidov has defeated a host of UFC veterans in his career, including Yuta Sasaaki, James Irvin, Matt Lindland, Jesse Taylor, Rodney Wallace, Kendall Grove, Maiquel Falcao, Luke Barnatt, Jorge Santiago, Ighor Pokrajac and Tor Troeng. Khalidov also competed in North America one time for Elite XC, defeating Jason Guida by TKO in 2008.
Narkun (14-2-0) comes into the contest riding a five fight winning streak and all of those bouts ended within the opening round. Narkun has only defeated a pair of UFC veterans in his career, with those two UFC vets being Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou and Goran Reljic. Narkun hasn’t gone to a decision in over three years and one of his two losses as a pro came by way of decision.
KSW 42 takes place on Saturday, March 3 from the Atlas Arena in Lodz, Poland with Mamed Khalidov and Tomasz Narkun headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which is going to be streamed live on KSW TV.
