Dana White Likes Cyborg vs. Holly Holm For Next Fight

Cyborg achieved a lifelong dream at UFC 214 when she defeated Tonya Evinger by third round TKO to win the UFC Women’s Featherweight Title.

For her first defense of the gold, the UFC President in Dana White would like to see Cyborg take on former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm.

“I was just talking to Holly Holm back there,” White said at the UFC 214 post-fight news conference. “(I said,) ‘What do you think?’ It seems like she’s interested. I like Holly vs. Cyborg. I think it’s a good fight.”

Holm was on the losing end of a bout against Germaine De Randamie at UFC 208, that was the bout that crowned the first ever UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion.

As far as Cyborg goes, the UFC President thinks she looked good in her first title bout under the UFC auspices.

“I think Cyborg looked good,” White said. “She was very composed. She didn’t go crazy. She took her time, picked her shots, and I think she looked good.”

If the fight were to take place and Holm wins the belt, then she would become the first woman to hold two titles in two different divisions in the UFC.
