“Cris Cyborg is definitely fighting on the July 29 card in Anaheim,” White said. “I’m working on it.”

Cat Zingano had been campaigning to fight Cyborg for quite some time now, even though Cyborg has been a little reluctant to fight her. White says that the only reason that Zingano isn’t fighting Cyborg is that the fighter is currently dealing with some physical ailments.

“Cat Zingano wants to [fight Cris Cyborg] and we were looking at Cat Zingano, but Cat’s not ready physically,” White said. “She’s been out for a while cause she’s had some physical issues she was dealing with. She’s not going to be ready. She wants the Cyborg fight. She wants it bad.”

Current Invicta FC Featherweight Champion Megan Anderson has also campaigned to fight Cyborg, but she’s defending her title against Helena Kolesnyk at Invicta FC 24 now.

UFC 214 takes place on Saturday, July 29 from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California with Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
