Misha Cirkunov is currently undefeated under the UFC banner with a record of 4-0-0 in the promotion (13-2-0 record overall).
It appears that the fighter will not get a chance to get a fifth win in the UFC, because UFC President Dana White has stated that the light heavyweight turned down the UFC’s contract offer.
“I met with Misha and his wife, and good people and everything else, but he ended up really flaking out on the deal,” White said to TSN. “So I’m not interested. I’m done. He knows I’m done. I made it very clear I’m done.”
Cirkunov last competed at UFC 206, where he submitted Nikita Krylov in the first round of their fight.
Now that Cirkunov will become a free agent, he could sign with Bellator MMA, World Series Of Fighting, Rizin or anywhere else for that matter. White doesn’t care where the former #10 ranked light heavyweight in the UFC eventually winds up signing with.
“You’ll see him somewhere,” White said. “It just won’t be here.”
The four wins that Cirkunov earned in UFC competition came over Nikita Krylov, Ion Cutelaba, Alex Nicholson and Daniel Jolly, with all four wins coming by submission or knockout.
