Dmitry Sosnovskiy Injured, Replaced By Azunna Anyanwu At UFC Fight Night Pittsburgh

Dmitry Sosnovskiy has suffered an injury and he has been pulled from this weekend’s UFC Fight Night Pittsburgh card, replacing him against Justin Ledet is going to be Azunna Anyanwu.

Ledet (8-0-0-1NC) has already earned two victories during his UFC tenure, having defeated the duo of Chase Sherman and Mark Godbeer. Ledet also competed in the Legacy Fighting Championships, fighting Brice Ritani-Coe to a no contest after an accidental eye poke. Ledet also enters the fight on the strength of an eight fight undefeated streak, which has lasted almost seven years.

Anyanwu (14-4-0) enters the fight on the strength of a five fight winning streak and that includes a win over Greg Rebello at Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 1. Anyanwu is also a former Cage Fury Fighting Championships Heavyweight Champion, defeating Plinio Cruz at CFFC 50 to win the gold. Anyanwu has seen his last three fights all end via finish and it has been over a year since one of his fights went the distance.

UFC Fight Night: Pittsburgh takes place on Saturday, September 16 from the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with Luke Rockhold and David Branch headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
