Former Impact Knockouts Champion Possibly Gone From GFW

The new Global Force Wrestling looks like it will move forward without former Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne.

After the Slammiversary event on July 2, in which GFW merged with Impact Wrestling, Madison Rayne’s name was no longer listed as an active member of the Knockouts division. ImpactWrestling.com made updates to its roster selection after the pay-per-view had concluded. Rayne’s profile page has been deleted, but does not appear in the Alumni section.

Rayne has been mostly inactive with the promotion throughout 2017, losing in the One Night Only: Rivals pay-per-view. Rayne lost to Angelina Love on that card which was aired in March.

When she hasn’t been wrestling, Rayne was co-hosting the With This Ring… show on the promotion’s official YouTube channel alongside her husband Josh Matthews. The last show, which was on June 24, meant to serve to hype up the Slammiversary show, of which Matthews competed in a tag match alongside Scott Steiner.

Rayne had been wrestling on the independent scene, returning to the all-female promotion SHIMMER, wrestling under her old name, Ashley Lane. Rayne wrestled for SHIMMER from 2007-09 and 2011.During her time in Impact Wrestling, Rayne was a five-time Knockouts champion and a former two-time Knockouts Tag Team Champion. Rayne started wrestling for Impact Wrestling in 2009, joining Angelina Love and Velvet Sky to form “The Beautiful People” stable.

GFW and Impact Wrestling merged on the Slammiversary show, in which Sienna defeated Rosemary by submission to unify the Impact Wrestling Knockouts and GFW Women's Championships.
