Evan Dunham (17-6-0) was left without an opponent at UFC Fight Night 94 after Abel Trujillo suffered an arm injury, but that is no longer the case because former World Series Of Fighting Featherweight Champion Rick Glenn (18-3-1) has agreed to step in on short notice to fight Dunham. Glenn signs with the UFC after a short stint on the regional MMA circuit, where he defeated both Chris Manuel and Ramiro Hernandez.
Glenn, as was mentioned earlier, is a former WSOF Featherweight Champion, he defeated Georgi Karakhayan by TKO at the WSOF 10 to win the belt before losing it to Lance Palmer via submission at the WSOF 16. Glenn fought once more for the promotion prior to his contract expiring, which was a knockout win over Adam Ward at the WSOF 24.
Dunham will be entering this fight riding a three fight winning streak, which includes victories over Joe Lauzon, Ross Pearson and Rodrigo Damm. Dunham has also earned a grand total of four UFC “performance” bonuses in his last seven fights, his last one coming against the aforementioned Joe Lauzon.
During his time in the World Series Of Fighting, Glenn did earn a total of four wins in the promotion, the other wins came over Artur Rofi and Alexandre Pimental. Dunham versus Glenn will be a part of UFC Fight Night 94, which will be taking place on September 17th from the State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, Texas with Dustin Poirier and Michael Johnson headlining.
