Germaine De Randamie made MMA history this past weekend at UFC 208, when she defeated former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm to become the first ever UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion.
De Randamie, who landed some illegal blows after the bell in rounds two and three, wouldn’t mind giving Holm an immediate rematch. De Randamie posted the following on her Instangram:
Holm is now in the midst of a three fight losing streak, with those losses coming to De Randamie, Miesha Tate and Valentina Shevchenko.
Lenny Fresquez, Holm’s longtime manager, doesn’t know which way the former women’s bantamweight champion should go at the moment.
“I don’t know if we want to fight in the cheater division – we’ve got one girl who takes drugs (Cristiane "Cyborg" Justino) and one who doesn’t follow the rules (Germaine De Randamie),” he told MMA Junkie.
If she had won the women’s featherweight title, Holm would’ve been the first woman in UFC history to hold two belts in two different weight classes.
