Jason “Mayhem” Miller, a longtime veteran of MMA competition, has been acquitted of domestic violence charges stemming from a 2013 incident with then girlfriend Anna Stabile.
A Santa Ana, California jury found the UFC veteran not guilty on two charges of domestic violence, the alleged 2013 incident happened in his home, located in Mission Viejo, California.
“I feel tremendous,” Miller told the Orange County Register. “I feel like justice was served. The system worked. It cleared the Mayhem Miller name.”
According to Stabile, Miller had assaulted her on two different occasions, with him repeatedly punching her in the face. One of the key things that Miller’s defense team argued was the fact that Stabile’s lack of consistency in her testimony and during her statements to police, plus no physical evidence was found of damage done to her face from Miller supposedly punching her there.
“There wasn’t enough evidence to have him 100 percent being at fault,” Judge Kevin Faudoa said at the trial.
While this legal matter is now behind him, Miller is still facing charges from a 2014 incident for vandalism, assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest. Miller last competed at Venator FC 3 in 2016, where he was submitted in the second round of a fight against Mattia Schiavolin.
