The co-main event of this month’s Bellator 185 card has taken a hit as King Mo has suffered an undisclosed injury and he has been pulled from a bout against former Bellator MMA Light Heavyweight Champion Liam McGeary.

This is the second time this year that Mo has pulled out of a high profile fight, as he was scheduled to fight Bellator MMA Light Heavyweight Champion Ryan Bader at Bellator 180 before an injury caused him to pull out of the bout.

There is no timeframe as to when Mo is expected to make his return to the cage.

McGeary is expected to remain on the card as Bellator MMA officials are seeking a replacement opponent.

McGeary (12-2-0) has won just one of his last three fights, with that lone victory coming over Brett McDermott in the main event of Bellator 173. McGeary is the aforementioned former Bellator MMA Light Heavyweight Champion, defeating Emmanuel Newton by decision to win the title at Bellator 134. McGeary also won a Bellator MMA Light Heavyweight Tournament, defeating Kelly Anundson in the finals at Bellator 124 in September 2014.

Bellator 185 takes place on Friday, October 20 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Gegard Mousasi and Alexander Shlemenko headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Spike TV.
