After being on the free agent market for a few months now, UFC and Strikeforce veteran Lorenz Larkin has signed a multi-fight deal with Bellator MMA.

Bellator MMA President Scott Coker took to Twitter to make the announcement:

Jon Jones Currently 'In Negotiations' For Next UFC Fight, Will 'More Than Likely' Be Competing In 2025

A debut date has yet to be set by the promotion.

“They can expect me to get in there and fight my ass off like I always do,” Larkin said to The Press Enterprise. “I feel like I’m in a great time in my life. I have an organization and a city behind me and what else do I need?”

Larkin earned a total of five wins during his UFC tenure, with notable victories over Neil Magny, Jorge Masvidal and John Howard.

Scott Coker and Larkin have worked together before in Strikeforce, where Larkin holds a victory over former UFC Welterweight Champion Robbie Lawler.

The former UFC employee admits the process of signing with a promotion was a long one.

“It’s been a long process, I didn’t expect it to be that long,” said Larkin. “I wanted someone to get behind me and have some faith that I can deliver and I can be an asset to wherever I go and that’s what I felt like with Bellator. They pretty much checked off all the things that I was looking for.”

UFC 202 was the last time Larkin competed, which was a first round TKO victory over Neil Magny. The current kingpin of the Bellator MMA Welterweight Division is Douglas Lima, who is currently enjoying his second reign as champion.
