Former UFC Middleweight Champions Michael Bisping and Luke Rockhold have fought twice before, with Rockhold winning and UFC Fight Night 55 and Bisping winning at UFC 199.
Rockhold wouldn’t mind a third fight with Bisping and says plans are underway for a trilogy bout to happen.
“Why don’t we do this thing in style?” Rockhold said on The MMA Hour. “Let’s sign on the bottom line. … I know this is a fight the UFC is pursuing. So, we’ll see. We’ll see if Bisping can back up his mouth once again.”
Bisping did announce that he planned on retiring this March, but plans fell through and the potential bout against Rockhold may be the former champions final Octagon appearance.
The former middleweight champion in Rockhold has another idea for the potential fight and that would be to have it at light heavyweight.
“Let’s make it a little more intriguing,” Rockhold said. “Let’s bring it to 205.”
If the fight were to happen at 205 pounds, it would mark Rockhold’s divisional debut and the return to the weight class for Bisping.
