Michael Bisping Losing Hope For GSP Fight

UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping was expecting to defend his gold against former UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre later this year, then UFC President Dana White canceled the fight.

Despite his will to keep the fight on, the middleweight kingpin is now losing hope that the fight will ever come to fruition.

“Right now, I’m still looking at GSP. I had a conversation with Dana White last week on the phone, he made me an offer — not for a fight — I will not reveal on here what it was but he made me an offer for something. I said what about GSP? He said ‘GSP does not want to fight,'” Bisping said on Believe You Me. “I said well that’s not what I’m hearing. I said I’m hearing he wants to fight me, his coach told me that he wants to fight me.”

Bisping is currently out of action right now due to a knee injury, while GSP is also out of action due to an eye injury.

However, the UFC President in Dana White also told Bisping that he is trying to get the fight put together again.

“He said ‘if I could make the GSP fight happen, I’ll make it happen but he doesn’t want to fight you, I’m telling you.’ So I don’t know what the f--- is going on out there,” says Bisping.

When Bisping does make his Octagon return, it would be the first time that he has competed since defeating Dan Henderson at UFC 204.
