Mike Perry kicked off the main card of UFC Fight Night 108 by knocking out Jake Ellenberg and Al Iaquinta competed in the co-main event, defeating Diego Sanchez by knockout.
Following the event, the victorious Iaquinta took some shots at his employer, even delivering a solid “F bomb” to them in the process.
Upon hearing the criticisms from the New York Native, the welterweight star gave some advice to Iaquinta via Twitter:
Calm down Lil guy https://t.co/q91sCjCQ9t

Perry recently appeared on The MMA Hour to elaborate on his reasoning behind the comment.
“I was trying to offer this man some advice,” Perry said. “The way I put it may have seemed disrespectful, but ... you think you’re going to get a bonus when you just run around disrespecting somebody who’s paying your bills, things like that? You work hard for this, then conduct yourself properly. He said ‘f*ck you’ to the people who are setting this up for you. If you have a sour attitude towards these people who are giving you the opportunity people dream of, you need to fix your priorities.”
UFC Fight Night 108 was thus far, the first and only time that the two fighters competed on the same card.
The welterweight contender also feels that he should be defending the company that employs him, not blasting it like Iaquinta has done.
“I’m watching out for the UFC,” Perry said. “He can’t just be bad-mouthing people who are doing the same thing for me. I got their back too because they got mine.”
A “Performance Of The Night” bonus was awarded to Perry that night, while Iaquinta got no bonus for his knockout win.
