The World MMA Awards have been revealed for 2020 and the likes of Israel Adesanya and Jorge Masvidal have been recognized for their contribution to the sport.
The voting period to be considered in each category was January 2019- July 2020. The awards have taken place since 2012 and are considered the Oscars of the MMA world, with fans voting online for who they want to win. Below is a breakdown of who won each category (h/t World MMA Awards). Adesanya was a major winner at the show, winning both "Charles 'Mask' Fighter Of The Year" and "International Fighter Of The Year" after his tremendous couple of years with UFC that has led him to middleweight glory and now on the verge of fighting for the light-heavyweight championship vs. Jan Blachowicz
