A featherweight division attraction has been added to the upcoming Bellator 183 card as Aaron Pico is looking for his first win against Justin Linn.
ESPN’s Brett Okamoto first reported the fight.
Pico (0-1-0) made his professional MMA debut at Bellator 180 and was promptly submitted in the opening round by Zach Freeman. Pico was making his overall MMA debut in the fight as well because the fighter never competed as an amateur either. Pico is also going to be making his featherweight division debut in the fight, as his first fight took place at lightweight.
Linn (7-3-0) enters the fight riding a two fight losing streak and he hasn’t earned a victory in just over three years’ time. Linn also won two of three fights in the Resurrection Fighting Alliance, defeating the duo of Adrian Cruz and Altair Alencar. Linn also holds a victory over UFC veteran Patrick Williams by split decision, that win came at Mixed Fighting Alliance: New Generation 4 in February 2011.
Bellator 183 takes place on Saturday, September 23 from the SAP Center in San Jose, California with Ben Henderson and Patricky Freire headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Spike TV.
