Aleksei Oleinik Replacing Damien Grabowski At UFC Fight Night 103

Damien Grabowski has suffered an injury and he has been pulled from UFC Fight Night 103, replacing him against Viktor Pesta will be Aleksei Oleinik.

Pesta (11-3-0) will be entering the fight riding a two fight losing streak, with those losses coming to the duo of Derrick Lewis and Marcin Tybura. Pesta has only earned a single victory under the UFC banner, that lone win came over Konstantin Erokhin at UFC On Fox: Gustafsson vs. Johnson. Pesta actually entered the UFC undefeated at 9-0-0, with one of those wins coming over a fellow UFC veteran in Christian Colombo.

Oleinik (41-12-1) has won two of three fights under the UFC banner, defeating both Jared Rosholt and Anthony Hamilton, while suffering a defeat to Daniel Omielanczuk. Oleinik is a former World Combat MMA Heavyweight Champion, he defeated Mike Stewart in September 2012 to win the gold. Oleinik also competed in the lone YAMMA Pit Fighting tournament in 2008, he made it to the semi-finals before losing to UFC veteran Chris Tuchscherer.

UFC Fight Night 103 takes place on Sunday, January 15 from the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona with Yair Rodriguez and BJ Penn headlining.
