“At first, whenever it happened, I didn’t think it was that bad,” White told MMA Junkie. “But then blood was just going and going and I was like, ‘Oh, man, maybe I need to watch this and not get hit there anymore.'”

The fighter isn’t expected to miss much time to due the damaging elbow blast to the head, but an exact time frame should be known as the cut heals up.

White has his sights set towards the future and would like to compete next this July during UFC International Fight Week.

“I’d like to fight in Las Vegas. That’s always cool,” White said. “But as far as an opponent, I feel like I’m comfortable with (my manager) picking for me. He knows what he’s doing. He’s done this long enough.”

There has been no announcement from the UFC as to exactly when UFC International Fight Week is scheduled to happen for this year, as the promotion usually holds two to three events that week alone.
