UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski, and former champ Max Holloway will meet for a third time at UFC 272 on March 5 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
ESPN's Brett Okamoto was the first to report the news of the matchup, confirming the booking with UFC President Dana White. Volkanovski is currently riding an insane 20-fight winning streak that dates back to December 2013 and is coming off of a unanimous decision victory over Brian Ortega at UFC 266 in his latest title defense. Holloway meanwhile is on a two-fight winning streak after dropping consecutive losses to Volkanovski and defeated Yair Rodriguez via a unanimous decision at UFC Vegas 42 in his most recent Octagon outing.
