This booking has been a controversial one to say the least, especially since Aldo has been winless thus far since dropping from featherweight to bantamweight.
There are two fighters who aren’t happy at all with what will go down at UFC 250, with that pair being Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling, who are both ranked ahead of the man getting the forthcoming title shot.
Both Yan and Sterling would take to Twitter to express their disgust with what’s going down this May:
The fight that no one asked for and that nobody wanted to see!#MakeRankingsGreatAgain

This clown choosing Aldo because I don’t speak perfect English ---- Since when Jose is the fluent speaker? What kind of logic is that? Henry knows he is not a draw and he is unsecured. In his head he already lost the fight to me. @ufc give me someone who is confident in himself! https://t.co/hAxpZKDICr

Neither Yan or Sterling are booked for a bout at the moment and both have teased fighting each other in the past, so the controversial title fight booking at UFC 250 could lead to a top contender contest for the dissatisfied fighters.
UFC 250 takes place on Saturday, May 9 from the Ibirapueroa Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil with Henry Cejudo and Jose Aldo headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
