UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling and interim champ Petr Yan will finally settle their score in a rematch at UFC 272 on March 5 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
ESPN's Brett Okamoto was the first to report the news of the matchup, confirming the booking with UFC President Dana White. Sterling hasn't competed since his initial meeting with Yan back at UFC 259 last March, where he won the title via disqualification in the fourth round after the 28-year old Russian landed an illegal knee. Yan, on the other hand, is coming off of a unanimous decision victory over Cory Sandhagen at UFC 267, landing him the interim UFC bantamweight title and a rematch with Sterling.
