Alliance MMA, which is the first publicly traded professional MMA organization, has announced that it has purchased Sucker Punch Entertainment.
“We expect that Sucker Punch will prove to be an extraordinary addition to the Alliance MMA organization,” stated Alliance MMA president Robert Haydak to MMA Fighting. “Their broad experience in managing a number of the sport’s top fighters will bolster our ongoing effort to expand the growing family of Alliance athletes, and will fortify Alliance’s position as a prominent force in the MMA community.”
Sucker Punch Entertainment is a management company that is currently working with UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk and UFC Interim Featherweight Champion Max Holloway, among many other MMA personalities.
Brian Butler-Au, the founder of Sucker Punch Entertainment, believes that being acquired by Alliance MMA will make both brand stronger.
“We are excited over the prospect of SuckerPunch adding immediate value to Alliance MMA,” Butler-Au stated. “We expect that our extensive connections throughout the MMA world will provide strong bridges and trusted relationships that should integrate seamlessly into Alliance MMA.”
Alliance MMA has yet to announce their first ever event, but the promotion already has purchased several regional MMA promotions and a live streaming service.
