Amanda Nunes-Julianna Peña Trilogy Set To Headline UFC 289 In June

A trilogy bout between two-division UFC champion, Amanda Nunes, and former women's bantamweight champ, Julianna Peña, is set to headline the Octagon's return to Vancouver, Canada at UFC 289 on June 10.

Journalist Ariel Helwani was the first to report the news of the matchup being in the works via a tweet on Friday, with TSN's Aaron Bronsteter confirming the booking with UFC President Dana White shortly thereafter. The pair will run it back for a third time after Nunes evened up the score with Peña in their rematch back at UFC 277 last July, where the 34-year-old Brazilian legend won a unanimous decision.
