Unified women's featherweight champion Amanda Serrano will co-headline the upcoming Jake Paul-Tommy Fury Showtime card on December 18 in Tampa Bay, Florida.
Serrano will move back up to 135 pounds to take on Miriam Gutierrez, ESPN's Mike Coppinger was the first to report the news of the matchup. A victory for Serrano could set up a potential bout with undefeated unified women's lightweight champion and 2012 Olympic gold medalist, Katie Taylor, sometime possibly in the spring of next year according to Coppinger's report. Serrano's promotional team announced the matchup officially via the following post to their official Instagram account.
Serrano is 41-1-1 as a pro boxer and hasn't lost a bout since April 2012. She defeated Yamileth Mercado via a unanimous decision back in August in her last appearance. Gutierrez on the other hand is 13-1 as a pro and will try to rebound from a unanimous decision loss to Katie Taylor back in November.
