A catchweight division attraction is the latest addition to the UFC 176 card as Anastasia Yankova will be seeing action against Elina Kallionidou.
Yankova (4-0-0) has fought twice under the Bellator MMA banner, defeating both Anjela Pink and Veta Arteaga. Yankova also competed once in the Fight Nights Global promotion, defeating Chommanee Sor Taehiran at Fight Nights: Petersburg in 2015. Yankova has only seen one of her four pro MMA fights go the distance, which was the fight against Veta Arteaga at Bellator 161.
Kallionidou (5-1-0) is currently winless in Bellator MMA competition, dropping a bout to Sinead Kavanagh at Bellator 169. Kallionidou is the current Cage Survivor Women’s Bantamweight Champion, she defeated Foteini Kromida at Cage Survivor 4 to win the gold. Kallionidou made her professional MMA debut at a European Fight League: The Battle 3, she was only 15 years old at the time.
Bellator 176 will be taking place on Saturday, April 8 from the Pala Alpitour in Turin, Italy with Rafael Carvalho and Melvin Manhoef headlining. Fightful will be providing live coverage for the event, which will be airing live on Spike TV. The event will be running as a double shot alongside a Bellator Kickboxing event, which will air on tape delay on Spike TV.
