Former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva was recently pulled from the main event of UFC Fight Night Shanghai after he was notified by USADA about a potential failed drug test.
If the drug test is proven right in the end, then it would be the second drug test failure for the former middleweight champion. In his first failed drug test in line with UFC 183, the Brazilian MMA legend was fined and given a one year suspension.
Silva has since issued a statement on the whole situation on Twitter:
Thanks for all your support! A big kiss for everyone and see you soon. pic.twitter.com/nvoZTJkwct

Another former UFC Middleweight Champion in Michael Bisping is replacing Silva on short notice against Kelvin Gastelum at UFC Fight Night Shanghai. Oddly enough, it was Bipsing who defeated Silva in a controversial decision in their lone meeting at UFC Fight Night 84 in February of 2016.
There is no word on what kind of punishment Silva could be facing for this failed drug test and there’s also no time frame as to when that punishment could be handed out.
