The British fighter, who has only suffered one loss as a pro, is looking to get more recognition from his British countrymen.

“To be fair, I haven’t proven myself,” Allen told MMA Junkie. “Maybe now, but I see on social media, bloody English fans saying on the UFC’s posts, ‘Who’s Arnold Allen? He’s going to get his ass kicked. Who’s this guy?’ C’mon. I’m homegrown, man. Give me some love.”

Besides the victory over Amirkhani, Allen has also defeated Alan Omer and Yaotzin Meza under the UFC banner. Allen also believes that the victory over Amirkhani will prove to be his breakout fight in the UFC.

“I knew this was the breakout fight,” he said. “I said it before the fight. People will start knowing who I am, and maybe people will stop me and my dog on High Street – I don’t know.”

Two of the three fights that Allen has had during his time in the UFC came in his home country of England, while the other fight came in the country of Germany.
