A women’s bantamweight division encounter has been added to next month’s UFC Fight Night Gdansk card as Aspen Ladd is in action against Lina Lansberg.
Ladd (5-0-0) was originally set to make her UFC debut earlier this year at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 25 Finale, but she suffered an illness a day before the event. Ladd has previously spent her entire professional MMA career in the Invicta Fighting Championships, where she earned a victory over UFC veteran Amanda Bobby Cooper. Ladd did suffer a single defeat as an amateur MMA fighter, which came to UFC veteran Cynthia Calvillo in April of 2014.
Lansberg (7-2-0) has won just one of two bouts under the UFC banner, defeating Lucie Pudilova and suffering a defeat to Cyborg. Lansberg also competed twice in the Cage warriors promotion, defeating the duo of Laura Howarth and Emma Delaney. Besides the loss to Cyborg, the only other defeat Lansberg has suffered was in her professional MMA debut against Pannie Kianzad at Trophy MMA 1 in 2012.
UFC Fight Night Gdansk takes place on Saturday, October 21 from the Ergo Arena in Gdansk, Poland with Donald Cerrone and Darren Till headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
